Changes and consequences due to the situation in the Red Sea

Through this information, we want to draw you attention to the fact that several of larger shipping lines are making changes to their loops because of the disorder in the Red Sea area. According to information, several vessels have been reported to have been attacked during their passing through Yemen and due to this Hapag Lloyd, MSC, CMA CGM, ONE and Maersk have chosen to stop all traffic through the Suez Canal. There is therefore an obvious risk of consequences and negative effects when the vessels instead are forced to go around the Cape of Good Hope and the entire African continent, which will increase the costs and the transit time.

We will monitor the situation closely and will update when more information is available.
